The Best Strawberry Pie

Finish off strawberry season with a strawberry pie that I know you’ll love! I dubbed it ‘the best’ because this pie is as good as strawberry pie gets. Perfectly sweet and refreshing, it’s the perfect dessert to serve to your guests on a beautiful summer evening. Top it off with a fluffy dollop of whipped cream and you’re good to go. My dad absolutely loves pie, and as he was eating it, he said, “I think I can safely say, this is the best pie in the world”.

An easy and delicious strawberry pie for those summer days.

Ingredients

• 1 pie crust (pre-baked)
• 1 pie crust (pre-baked)
• 4 cups fresh strawberries*
• 4 cups fresh strawberries*
• 1½ cups water
• 1½ cups water
• 2 Tbsp cornstarch
• 2 Tbsp cornstarch
• ⅓ cup granulated sugar
• ⅓ cup granulated sugar
• 3 oz (1 85g box) strawberry or raspberry jello powder

Instructions

1. Pre-bake pie crust and allow to cool.
2. Slice strawberries in half or quarter them. (Depending on how big your strawberries are) Pour into cooled crust.
3. In a medium saucepan, stir together water, sugar, and cornstarch. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes.
4. Whisk in the jello powder and boil another 2 minutes.
5. Remove from the heat and cool.
6. Once cooled, pour the glaze over the berries in the crust. Stir it into the berries for a bit to make sure everything's coated.
7. Refrigerate to chill completely and set. Serve with whipped cream.

Notes

*You can also use fresh raspberries or blueberries instead.
